The Legal Position, Briefly

A credible Certificate of Analysis corresponds to one manufacturing batch, identified by a lot number that matches the physical vial — not a document recycled across every shipment a supplier sends out. Independent testing, not just supplier-provided documentation. Many suppliers rely solely on the manufacturer’s own internal paperwork. A more rigorous standard is independent third-party laboratory verification before a batch is ever listed for sale.

Clear, compliant language. A supplier using words like “dosage,” “injection protocol,” or making implied health claims is making what amounts to a medicinal claim — which is not permitted for an unlicensed research compound, and is a signal the supplier may not be operating to a compliant standard.

UK-based company registration. A registered UK company gives you a verifiable legal entity to deal with, rather than an anonymous storefront with no accountability.

Understanding Purity and Identity

Two separate tests matter most when evaluating a peptide’s quality:

HPLC purity measures what proportion of the sample is the correct target compound versus synthesis byproducts or degradation products. ≥98% is the widely accepted research-grade standard.

Mass spectrometry confirms the compound’s identity by measuring its molecular weight against the expected value. Purity and identity are two separate questions — a high purity figure alone does not confirm you’ve received the correct compound.
