Legality & Regulation
Are research peptides legal in the UK?
Yes. Most research peptides — including BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, Ipamorelin, CJC-1295, and Epithalon — are not controlled substances under the UK Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. They may be lawfully supplied for laboratory research purposes. Supply for human or veterinary consumption is a separate matter and is prohibited under the Human Medicines Regulations 2012, since these products are not licensed medicines.
Can I use these products on myself?
No. Claripep sells research-grade peptides intended strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. We do not support, condone, or provide guidance for human or animal use, and our products are not labelled, tested, or approved for that purpose.
Are these products approved by the MHRA?
No. None of the products we supply have been evaluated or approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, or any other regulatory body, for safety or efficacy in humans or animals. They are not licensed medicines.
Quality & Documentation
What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?
A COA is a document issued by a testing laboratory confirming a specific batch’s identity and purity. Ours include HPLC purity results and mass spectrometry identity confirmation, along with heavy metal and endotoxin screening where relevant. Are your COAs batch-specific?
Yes. Every COA we publish corresponds to a specific manufacturing batch, identified by a batch number that matches the label on the vial. We do not reuse a generic COA across multiple shipments.
Who tests your products?
Every batch we stock is sent to an independent third-party laboratory for testing before being made available for purchase. We do not rely solely on a manufacturer’s own internal documentation.
What purity standard do you work to?
We require a minimum of ≥98% HPLC purity across our catalogue, verified independently before any batch is listed.
Storage & Handling
How should peptides be stored?
Lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptides should be stored at -20°C, protected from light and moisture, until ready for use. Unopened vials remain stable for an extended period under correct storage conditions.
How long do peptides last once reconstituted?
This varies by compound and storage conditions. We do not provide reconstitution or administration guidance, as our products are supplied for research use only and any handling protocol should be determined by the researcher in line with their own laboratory’s standards.
Why does the powder in my vial look like less than I expected?
Vials that are freeze-dried in place form a porous “cake” that holds the volume of the original solution, so they appear fuller despite containing the same mass of peptide. Many also contain bulking agents such as mannitol, which help form a stable cake and can account for several times the mass of the active compound.
Our vials are filled in-house from lyophilised bulk powder and contain the stated weight of peptide, with nothing added. The material is identical and reconstitutes in exactly the same way — there is simply no excipient making up the volume.

Where do you ship to?
We currently supply customers within the United Kingdom.
How long does dispatch take?
Once a product is in stock, we aim to dispatch orders within 24 hours, Monday to Saturday, excluding bank holidays.
What happens if a product I want is out of stock?
Several of our products are currently marked as Coming Soon while we complete independent testing on new batches. We list products honestly rather than showing them as available before testing is complete.
Do you offer bulk or institutional pricing?

Returns & Data
What’s your returns policy?
Unopened products may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Once a seal is broken, we’re unable to accept returns for safety and quality assurance reasons. Full details are in our Returns Policy.
