Independent verification is the foundation of how Claripep operates. This page explains exactly what happens between sourcing a compound and listing it for sale.
Step 1: Sourcing
We source compounds from established manufacturers and trading partners, requesting documentation on synthesis method, purity claims, and salt form before any sample is ordered.
Step 2: Sample Testing
Before committing to any wholesale order, we order a small sample of the batch for independent verification. This sample is sent directly to a third-party testing laboratory — not assessed using the supplier’s own paperwork alone.
Step 3: Independent Laboratory Analysis
Our samples are tested via HPLC for purity, and mass spectrometry for identity confirmation, alongside screening for heavy metals and endotoxins where relevant. We do not list a product if these results fall short of our published purity standard.
Step 4: Batch-Specific Documentation
Every product we list carries a Certificate of Analysis specific to that batch, with a batch number that matches the label on the vial. We publish this documentation openly rather than providing it only on request.
Step 5: Ongoing Verification
As new batches are sourced, the testing process repeats in full. A passed result for one batch does not exempt future batches from the same independent verification standard.
How We Label
Peptide powders are not 100% peptide by mass. The remainder consists of counter-ion salt and residual moisture, which is normal and expected for lyophilised material. Independent testing reports this as peptide content, or mass/mass purity.
We use that figure to determine our fill weights, so a vial labelled 10mg contains 10mg of peptide — not 10mg of powder that is partly salt and moisture. This means we fill slightly more powder than the stated weight. The relevant figure is published on each batch’s Certificate of Analysis, so it can be checked against what we claim.
Why This Matters
Many suppliers in this market rely solely on a manufacturer’s internal paperwork, or recycle a single COA across multiple shipments.
